About Us
About Our Chapter
We are the student chapter of Association for Computing Machinery at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. We are a community of those interested in computing and technology. Our organization consists of undergraduate and graduate students, falculty, professionals, and alumni. Our chapter was revived in 2016 and over the years we have grown into a great community. Throughout the year we hold various events and programs.
Our events and programs include:
- General Body Meetings
- Partner Workshops and Events
- Social Events
- HackNCAT Hackathon
- STARs Mentorship Program
Our core values represent who we are as an organization. They guide us all that we do. Our three core values are:
- Educate
- Discover
- Community
A treasure of our organization is our Special Interest Groups or SIGs. SIGs are a way for our members to explore and discover interests in the computing and tech fields. Over the years we have had SIGs in cybersecurity, mobile app development, web development, game development, and more. SIG leaders organize their own great events for members to learn new skills and connect with professionals.
